TRAINING ON CONDUCTING SURVEYS

We conducted a 2-day training on household surveys. The training held on 17th and 19th June was for enumerators who conducted household waste surveys in Hulhumale under the HOME project, funded by USAID’s Clean Cities, Blue Ocean program. The training included sessions on designing and administering surveys, ensuring reliability and validity in survey design and ethical considerations in survey design among other things.

In addition, the participants were introduced to ArcGIS survey123, a useful tool for administering and conducting surveys. Dr Mizna Mohamed (HOME Project Coordinator) and Mr Farhath Jameel (Chief Surveyor of Water Solutions) served as instructors for the training.

A total of 18 participants including survey enumerators, staff from the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, SIGS and Water Solutions attended this capacity development training. The trained enumerators participated in the HOME-Waste Survey, which took place in Hulhumale.
